Recipe makes 4-dozen large cookies


2 cups (450 gr) butter

2 cups (450 gr) white sugar

2 cups (450 gr) brown sugar

4 eggs

3 teaspoons (15 ml) vanilla

4 ½ cups (1010 gr) flour

2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder


2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking soda7 cups (1.59 kg) Quaker Oats Old Fashioned Oatmeal

1 7 oz. (200 gr) Hershey Milk Chocolate Candy Bar,

chopped into large pieces

6 Heath Candy Bars, chopped

1 cup (225 gr) nuts (optional)



1.     Cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. Set aside.

2.     Mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Fold this into butter mixture.

3.     Add to this the oatmeal, candy bars, and nuts (if using nuts).

4.     Make large cookies and bake in a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 8-10minutes

Tips: It is best to under bake a little. Also, you can use ½ butter and ½ margarine.
